1. Purpose and scope
This policy sets out how the DETOUR Rat Repellent Gel logos, character art, colors and fonts may be used. It keeps the brand recognizable and protects the DETOUR trademark.
It applies to every employee, contractor, distributor, retailer, agency and other party who uses DETOUR brand assets in print, packaging, web, email, advertising, trade materials or social media.
2. Ownership and trademark
- All DETOUR logos, Willey the Chili artwork and the secondary rat artwork are the property of Tomlin Scientific, Inc.
- Use of the assets grants no ownership or license beyond what this policy or a written agreement allows.
- The registered trademark symbol (®) is part of the DETOUR wordmark and must always appear with it. Never remove, resize apart from the mark, or relocate it.
- Do not register or use confusingly similar names, logos, domains or social handles.
3. Approved assets
Only the files in the official 2026 logo suite may be used. Do not recreate them from screenshots or by retyping the name.

5. Typography
| Medium | Typeface |
|---|---|
| Web | Poppins Regular |
| Myriad Pro, and Myriad Pro Bold for emphasis |
These fonts are for supporting text only. The logo lettering is artwork and must never be retyped in a font.
6. Placement and sizing
The suite does not specify clear space or minimum sizes. The values below are proposed defaults and should be confirmed or replaced by the brand owner.
- Clear space: keep an empty margin around every logo equal to the height of the letter “D” in DETOUR.
- Minimum size (proposed): wordmark at least 0.5 in (13 mm) tall in print and 24 px tall on screen. Use the Isolated logo when space is tight.
- Backgrounds: use the full logo with its black and red background panel on any busy or light surface. Place the isolated and DESC versions only on solid backgrounds with strong contrast against yellow and white, such as black or dark gray.
- Scaling: resize proportionally from a corner. Never stretch, squash or crop.
- Only one primary logo version per layout, unless a layout shows product line comparisons.
7. Acceptable and prohibited use

- Keeping the ® with the wordmark
- Using approved colors and the approved background panel
- Pairing Willey with the rat only as shown in the suite

8. Willey the Chili
